Due to the current weather and emergency flooding now affecting NSW, PetSure extends emergency boarding coverage in New South Wales for those affected by flooding. Customers affected by the flood emergency can access emergency pet boarding, with their eligible costs covered by their pet insurance policy administered by PetSure until September 2, 2022.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the extreme weather and flooding,” said Lauren Terpening, PetSure Product Manager.

“We hope this extension will bring some peace of mind to all of our impacted customers who need to find safe and dry accommodation for their pets. We are here to help,”

This is PetSure’s second expansion this year. When floods devastated New South Wales and Queensland earlier this year, PetSure came to the rescue by extending emergency boarding cover for its policyholders. PetSure provided sitters of flood-affected animals with access to emergency boarding, ensuring affected animals could be boarded safely and easing some of the burden on those affected.

The extension was offered between February 2022 and May 2022 and more than 160 policyholders who found themselves away from home, evacuated or displaced by the floods were able to board their pets, with the peace of mind that a portion of the cost was covered by their Pet Insurance Policy administered by PetSure.

During this period, PetSure paid 100% of its policyholders’ claims for boarding assistance and provided more than $67,000 in benefits to affected policyholders and their furry and fluffy loved ones.

Policyholders can check if their pet insurance policy is administered by PetSure by going to petsure.com.au/partners.
